For todays post I planned something else, but I recently heard, that Oscar de la Renta, ho is one of the bigget names in the fashion world, died yesterday. So I decided to write a bit about his life, and show you some of his works, which are my favorites.
His life:
Oscar de lar Rent was born in the Dominican Republic in 1932. He studied painting at a university in Madrid, where he began to be interested in fashion. He was very talented so very soon he already worked for Spanish. He met Cristóbal Balenciaga thanks to these works.He turned to ready to wear when he started to work for Arden in 1963. He worked for them for two years and in 1965 he launched de Oscar de la Renta brand. The brand is beloved by the celebrities, and he also designed clothes for first ladies, like Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama usw. He lost the battle with the cancer yesterday, and so a huge legend of the fashion world passed away. Rest in Peace Oscar de la Renta!

Ma másról terveztem írni, de nemrég tudtam meg, hogy Oscar de la Renta, aki a mai divatvilág egyik legnagyobb művésze a napokban halt meg. Így úgy döntöttem a mai posztot arra áldozom, hogy bemutassam röviden az életét, illetve megismertesselek titeket néhány munkájával, köztük a személyes kedvenceimmel.
Élete
Oscar de la Renta 1932-ben A Dominikai Köztársaságban született. Madridban végezte az egyetemet, ahol festészetet tanult, itt kezdett el érdeklődni a divat iránt. Tehetségéből fakadóan hamarosan spanyol divatházaknak kezdett dolgozni, ahol mentorát Cristóbal Balenciaga-t megismerte. A "kész viselethez" (tehát a nem csak couture) 1963ban fordult, amikor az Arden-nek kezdett dolgozni. Két évet töltött el a cégnél, majd 1965-ben saját márkát alapított Oscar de la Renta néven. A márkát a hírességek is kedvelik, illetve a first lady-k számára is készített ruhákat, például Michelle Obama és Hillary Clinton is viselte a ruháit. A rákkal szemben a küzdelmet tegnap veszítette el, ezzel pedig a divatipar egyik legmeghatározóbb egyénisége távozott közülünk. Nyugodj békében Oscar de la Renta!
